Birth certificate
- Calrissian: "You two have got your birth certificates with you, don't you?"
- Solo: "Are you kidding? Mine's at my sky house back on Bespin."
- Organa: "And my birth certificate was destroyed when the Empire blew up Alderaan."
- ―Lando Calrissian, Han Solo, and Leia Organa hit a snag in the wedding plans[1]
A birth certificate was a document that served as a form of identification. Leia Organa lost her birth certificate in the destruction of her homeworld Alderaan by the Galactic Empire[1] in 0 BBY.[2] Five years later,[3] Organa traveled with Han Solo to Hologram Fun World to be married, where they met up with their friend Lando Calrissian, the world's baron administrator. After seeing to various preparations, Calrissian told the couple they would need to go to the administration building to have their birth certificates scanned by the Fun World Document Droids. Solo stated that he had left his at his sky house on the planet Bespin, and Organa explained the fate of her certificate. Calrissian stated that he would arrange for new birth certificates at the Document Bureau, but could not do so that night due to its early closure for Fun World Founder's Day. The administrator promised to arrange new documents the following morning.[1]
