Betal was a[2] Wild Space[1] astronomical object[2] located in the Betal system.[1] It was the origin point of the group known as the Poraskors, who reportedly wove neural-web reflex threads by hand. Betal was mentioned in Cracken's Rebel Field Guide, a datafile authored by General Airen Cracken that documented various pieces of equipment utilized by agents of the Rebel Alliance.[2]
Behind the scenes
Betal was first mentioned in the 1991 sourcebook Cracken's Rebel Field Guide, which was written by Christopher Kubasik for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Betal system, and therefore the celestial body Betal, within grid square J-5.[1]
