"Ood…gone!"
"Disintegrated…and Sedriss with him! He did it to save us, Luke."
―Luke Skywalker and Kam Solusar, witnessing the exertion of Jedi Master Ood Bnar[2]

Members of the Neti species were capable of releasing an incredible beam of light as they channeled the sum of the Force energy of the planet on which they were rooted or other large energy source at their moment of death. Such power was capable of catastrophic planetary surface destruction, as well as the obliteration of starships and other vessels. In 10 ABY, to save Jedi Knights Luke Skywalker and Kam Solusar, the ancient Jedi Master Ood Bnar released a devastating beam of light to annihilate Executor Sedriss.

More than one hundred years later, a female Neti Master named T'ra Saa was joined by fellow Jedi Nat Skywalker, and together unleashed a beam of light to clear an escape route for their allies using the direct energy of the Temple's detonating reactor.

Following the deaths of both Bnar and Saa, tiny saplings burst from the ground where the original Neti died, seemingly imbued with the planet's Force energy, still traveling through the engrained roots.
