Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

The Battle of Giju was a brief conflict fought on Giju shortly after the establishment of the Galactic Empire.

The battle

The Empire desired to nationalize the industry and infrastructure on Giju and subjugated the planet. This spurred a short, but violent revolt by the native Herglic, which was only ended after horrific massacres forced the Herglic to reconsider their resistance. They submitted completely to the Empire.^[1]

Aftermath

Because Giju surrendered so rapidly, much of the infrastructure remained intact throughout the Imperial Period and the Herglic become loyal Imperial workers. This lead to a rapid economic recovery for the Herglic after Imperial forces fled the sector.^[1]
