Bats were cave-dwelling winged mammals. A subspecies was the sand bat of Tatooine. Black bats occurred on Dagobah, while green bats could be found on Endor.
Ruusan was home to black-furred, three-horned bats. Iego was the home environment of the xandu, a four-winged bat-like creature. Other animals similar to bats included hawk-bats, bloodbats, Ice Bats, KyLessian fruit bats, borgle bats, and shredder bats.
