Barpine was a planet with shipyards used as the headquarters of the rogue Imperial Lieutenant Lon Donell. Donell engaged in piracy against the New Republic from the bridge of the Immobilizer 418 cruiser Detainer, of which Donell had usurped command. The surface of the planet contained a large prison facility for the crews of the starships that Donell captured. Barpine was located in the Barpine system of the Outer Rim Territories.
