A barge driver was a specialized bulk freighter used to haul large amounts of cargo across the galaxy. Barge drivers generally consisted of a bridge and living quarters connected to an engineering section, and could be connected to standard cargo containers. The Corellian Engineering Corporation BD-27 Transport was one type of barge driver active during the Galactic Civil War.
