An amethyst crystal was a rare kind of tasar crystal that had the ability to turn an individual Force-sensitive and to imbue them with a specific Force power after several months of attunement. The amethyst crystal was a deep purple in color, and had the ability to grant an individual the power of ion generation which could calm tempers and instil a feeling of good will.[1]
