Alassa Major was a resort world located along the Enarc Run, known as a major tourist destination for people dwelling in the wealthy core regions.
History
Discovered by the Galactic Republic circa 3000 BBY, Alassa Major was established as a resort world, with the wealthiest of the Core escaping here to revitalize and refresh themselves. Loyal to the Republic since the world joined during the blazing of the Enarc Run, it joined the Galactic Empire upon its formation from the ashes of the Republic.[1]
A rival resort to Bespin's Cloud City, the planet prospered throughout the Galactic Civil War; though as of 9 ABY it, along with the entire Enarc Run had been secured by the New Republic. A member world of the Galactic Alliance at the end of the Yuuzhan Vong, the planet was located in space controlled by Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire as of 137 ABY.[1]
