1997 Topps Star Wars Special Edition is a trading card set covering the events and behind the scenes details of The Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition. The set was released by The Topps Company, Inc. in February 1997[2], and featured the "Widevision" logo as they were in the same size and format as earlier Widevision sets. The set was released simultaneously with the Star Wars Trilogy: The Complete Story card set based on the original versions of the films.[1]
