Bunkurd sewer
Bunkurd sewers were sewer systems on developed planets established for the introduction of genetically-modified bacteria to speed up waste reduction and cleaning of the water. The bacterium was estimated to speed up the reprocessing time by 30%. They were first pioneered on Coruscant several hundred standard years before the rise of the Galactic Empire. Other planets with bunkurd sewers included Tatooine, where one was present at Mos Eisley.
Exposure to the bacterium in a living being would result in them contracting Bunkurd Sewer Disorder.
