Bosph precursor species

A species of primitive mammalian omnivores evolved on the Outer Rim planet of Bosph. Members of the species had six limbs and were hunted by predators called Luprisi which they had to out smart to avoid. The species eventually evolved into the sentient Bosph species, who maintained their precursors species six limbs.

Behind the scenes

The precursor species to the Bosph was first mentioned in 1997, when author Trevor J. Wilson and Craig Robert Carey mentioned them in an entry in his article "Alien Encounters" as part of the Bosph section, published in the thirteenth issue of Star Wars Adventure Journal roleplaying supplement, published by West End Games. The article was republished in a reduced form, still mentioning the precursor species, in the book Alien Encounters in 1998, a collection of alien species compiled by Paul Sudlow.
