Bentora Space was a region of the galaxy.[1] It shared its name with the Bentora system, which was located in the Outer Rim Territories' Samix sector.[2] Bentora Space was home to a group known as the Chyakk clan. On the date 36:1:16, a news report by Cynabar's InfoNet mentioned that[1] the smuggler[3] Platt Okeefe wished to relay a message to the Wookiee Chyakk clan on[1] the Hook Nebula[4] planet[5] Lan Barell. To disambiguate, the news report distinguished between the Chyakk clan of Lan Barell and that of Bentora Space.[1]

Bentora Space was introduced by Paul Sudlow in the "Galaxywide NewsNets" feature of West End Games' Star Wars Adventure Journal 5, which was published in February 1995.[1]
