Centuries before the reign of the Galactic Empire, a battle took place on the planet Gap Nine. The battle was fought between the Jedi Order and an unidentified group, the latter of whom had been using several temples on the planet as a site of malevolent worship. The group were defeated by a force of Jedi Knights, who eventually converted the temples into storehouses of knowledge.^[1]
