Battle of Altyr V
The Battle of Altyr V was a brutal skirmish fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars[1] between 22 BBY and 19 BBY.[2] Clone trooper captain CT-65/91-6210, nicknamed "Deviss," led the Republic forces alongside a Jedi General on[1] the Outer Rim Territories[3] planet[4] Altyr V. However, the Jedi was vaporized by Separatist fire, leaving Deviss to improvise a plan of attack. Deviss rallied the remaining companies of clone troopers under his leadership and destroyed the Separatist ion cannon, opening the battlefield to aerial bombardment and winning the battle for the Republic. For his act of bravery and initiative, Clone Commander CC-5052 promoted Deviss to the rank of commander.[1]
