Barnacles were small crustaceans known for stubbornly clinging to surfaces such as the hulls of aquatic ships, starships, or the walls of buildings. A variety of species could be found on many locations, including space barnacles, Bilbringi VII's crystal barnacles and Coruscant's shadow barnacles. More typical aquatic barnacles were those found on watery worlds such as Drexel and the walking barnacles of Alderaan.
