Dark Force Rising 3 was the third issue in the Dark Force Rising series of comics based on the novel Dark Force Rising. It was released July 30, 1997.

Risen from the ashes of a shrouded past, the Jedi Master C'Baoth teaches Luke Skywalker new ways to use the Force, ways which allow him to control others. Ways commonly used on the dark side of the Force.

Captain James T. Kirk, Doctor Leonard McCoy, and Mr. Spock from Star Trek make a cameo on the planet Jomark. Also, a boy on Jomark is holding a model of the U.S.S. Enterprise. A person behind the boy is holding a Star Trek communicator.
