Armor regiment
An armor regiment or line armor regiment was a formation of the Imperial Army.
Organization
Armor regiments were comprised of two armor battalions, two repulsorlift battalions, and a regimental headquarters for a total strength of 3,994 personnel, 304 repulsorcraft, and 106 heavy tanks. Armor regiments were never deployed on their own, and had more massed firepower than any other regimental-strength unit. With no infantry units, armor regiments could not be deployed to take and hold ground, and were only deployed as part of a battlegroup.[1]
Armor regiments could be augmented by the addition of two more armor battalions, a repulsorlift battalion, and an assault battalion.[2]
