Arlo Tyre joined the Rebellion after an Imperial raid on his home planet cost him everything he held dear. He became a Master Scout and was partnered with Wadie Firestone to investigate the loss of communications with an archeological team on Alashan. Despite being a seasoned veteran, Tyre was killed investigating the ruins, cut down by a mysterious beam of energy, caused by the Guardian of Forever.
