The Wookiee language, or Wookiee, actually consisted of at least two different languages:

• Shyriiwook (also known as Wookieespeak), the main trade language of Wookiees
  • Thykarann, a dialect of Shyriiwook spoken by Kashyyyk natives
• Xaczik, a language spoken on the Wartaki Islands of Kashyyyk
