Anguilla
Anguilla were oceanic sentients indigenous to Alluuvia in Elrood sector.
Biology and appearance
They resembled long, muscular eels with long arms and powerful hands. Primitive, nomadic hunters who followed fish school migrations, they determined leadership in tests of strength known as Rites of Conch-tar.
History
They were discovered not long after the Battle of Yavin. A bigoted Imperial Private shot the first Anguilla he saw upon arrival on the planet on sight, and his fellow Imperial soldiers followed suit, leading to a massacre. The Anguilla were led by Anyar, in cooperation with the Rebel Alliance, in destroying the Imperial Mining, Ltd. base on Alluuvia. Anyar negotiated for Radell Mining Corporation to mine the minerals that filled Alluuvia's oceans (thus toxic to Humans) on the condition the mining was overseen by Iych-thae, an Ithorian.
Behind the scenes
The Anguilla shared their name with Anguilla, a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean.
