The Welsl system was a star system located within the Brak sector in the Expansion Region of the galaxy. Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the Lant Mining Corporation shut down a mine located in the system, resulting in 2,000 beings losing their jobs. When the Invisible NewsStack reported on the closure, they admitted that they were not even aware that the Welsl system existed.[1]
