Wann Tsir
Wann Tsir was a planet[3] located in the Wann Tsir system, a part of the Sepan sector[1] in the Slice portion of[2] the Expansion Region.[1] During the Galactic Civil War, Wann Tsir was protected by a planetary shield.[3]
Following the Battle of Endor[3] of 4 ABY,[4] the planet came under siege. During the battle, Commander Titus Klev of the Galactic Empire[3] accidentally[5] discovered and stopped[3] an important[6] agent of the Rebel Alliance,[3] who was attempting to sabotage[5] Wann Tsir's deflector shield. Klev's deeds subsequently earned him commendations from the Imperial High Command.[3]
Behind the scenes
Wann Tsir was introduced via mention of the Siege of Wann Tsir in the 1993 Dark Empire Sourcebook, which was authored by Michael Allen Horne and published by West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[5] It was not until the 1998 Star Wars Encyclopedia by Stephen J. Sansweet was published that it was identified as a distinct astronomical object.[7] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Wann Tsir system, and therefore Wann Tsir itself, in grid square P-13.[2]
