Viper was a CR90 corvette in the service of the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. It was presumably attempting to destroy the Imperial Navy starships under the command of Vice Admiral Thrawn to stop a salvage attempt during the Battle on the Frontier. It was destroyed by Imperial starfighters.
