Vin Larel was a captain serving in Alliance Intelligence during the Galactic Civil War. Larel was promoted and transferred from a line grunt to command of an outpost on an artic planet. While Larel initially thought the posting was a step up, the captain planned to request a transfer to a warmer assignment once their tour was up.[1]
