v-90 Protector
The v-90 Protector was a model of ion cannon produced by the Kuat Drive Yards for the purpose of planetary defense. One of three popular models from KDY's v-series it was considered a medium ion cannon, with a surface-to-low orbit capability useful against capital ships, and was a common weapon emplacement used to defend various strongholds. The Protector required a crew of ten to operate at full capacity but could get by with a skeleton crew of four.[1]
