Unidentified simian bounty hunter

An unidentified simian bounty hunter recognized Luke Skywalker when he entered Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina on a mission for the Rebel Alliance. Believing that Jabba Desilijic Tiure would pay him well for Luke Skywalker's death, he attempted to vaporize the rebel. Anduvil shot the bounty hunter's hand, causing the intended kill shot to miss and saving Luke Skywalker. Luke Skywalker was able to identify him as an occasional employee of Jabba Desilijic Tiure.

Behind the scenes

Both the bounty hunter and Luke Skywalker refer to the bounty hunter's employer as "Jabba the Hut" with a single "t." This spelling was common until the release of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
