Sam & Max parodying The Empire Strikes Back in The Adventurer 4

The dog in question is most likely a reference to Sam, the other half of the Sam & Max comic and video game duo.[2] Sam and his partner appeared in a number of comics published in LucasArts' The Adventurer magazine, including a number of Star Wars parodies.
