"We had one of the bomb conspirators in our grasp today, but before I managed to question her, she was poisoned. She was under guard the entire time. I don't see how an assassin was able to get to her so quickly."
―Ta'a Chume[1]

In 23 ABY, a female conspirator was involved in the bombing of the dining hall of the Hapan Queen Mother's royal residence, Fountain Palace, located on the planet Hapes. The bomb was intended to kill the matriarch of Hapes, Ta'a Chume, and her granddaughter Tenel Ka. After sending Tenel Ka to safety, Ta'a Chume headed up the investigation of the bombing and eventually caught the conspirator. However, before Ta'a Chume could question her, the criminal was poisoned by an assassin while under guard.[1]

Behind the scenes

The bomb conspirator was mentioned in the young readers novel Young Jedi Knights: Lightsabers by Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta, which was published in 1996.
