Unidentified Endor bird
A species of non-sentient birds was present on the forest moon of Endor. Logray kept one in his hut around 3 ABY, as he showed the Towani children the whereabouts of their parents using a crystal image spinner.
Biology and appearance
They were birds of prey, the head of which resembled that of the sentient Rishii.[2] They had speckled brown and tan plumage, with feathery ear tufts. They also had a hooked beak and glowing yellow eyes.[1]
Behind the scenes
- "In Caravan of Courage we can also see an owl in Logray's hut and some goats looking high on a hill for a lonely Ewok goatherd."

In Drawing from the Present: Familiar Creatures in a Galaxy Far, Far Away, a 2013 article written for the Star Wars Blog by Tim Veekhoven and Mark Newbold, owls were mentioned among the many real-world animals that appeared in the Star Wars live-action movies.[3]
