Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A Carosite smuggler was captured by the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. The Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader used the dark side of the Force to affect the Carosite's mind and forge him into a atavistic creature ruled by impulses of terror. The former smuggler then was made into a loyal guard for Vader and stationed on the planet Belsavis. In 12 ABY, two operatives affiliated with the New Republic, the Human Han Solo and the Wookiee Chewbacca, had an encounter with the beast in the catacombs of Belsavis.
