Troop squadron
A troop squadron was a formation of the Imperial Navy commanded by an admiral. The troop squadron was comprised of two troop lines, an attack line, and a skirmish line, for a force of vessels numbering between twenty-five to thirty. Troop squadrons were generally used as a transfer point to reorganize Imperial Army units within the fleet. These transfers often occurred in deep space away from potential enemies.
