Target-Aggressor Attack Resolution Software
The Target-Aggressor Attack Resolution Software (TAARS) was a type of computer program that helped starfighters to locate and identify their targets. As a prank, members of the reconstructed Rogue Squadron reprogrammed the TAARS systems of the Y-wings of General Horton Salm's Defender Wing to produce the Rogue Squadron crest on the fighters' primary monitors when one of them was "shot down" during a training mission.
This tampering greatly upset the general; however, it could be said that he was more infuriated by the exercise's results, which proved embarrassing to him as the Rogues had decimated his unit with minimal loss of their own.
