Tanglefoot field
A tanglefoot field was a type of force field used by police forces. This device produced a low-intensity force field projected over a specific area. They were used to drastically slow the movement of rioters to a crawl, and were incredibly hard to move through, and next to impossible to remove ones' feet from.
