Swiftcut foil
A Swiftcut foil was a foil[1]—a type of sword[2]—that was used by the Nagai, a warfaring species whose members favored the use of bladed weapons in combat. Along with Tehk'la blades and longswords, Swiftcut foils were employed in a number of fighting exercises that were daily customs in Nagai society. These exercises were both a form of meditation and a sign of social status; success in them could allow the victor to ascend societal ranks.[1]

Swiftcut foils received a single mention in The University of Sanbra Guide to Intelligent Life: The Marvel Series, an article that appeared in the first issue of the Star Wars Gamer magazine. The article was written by Rich Handley and Joe Bongiorno,[1] and the issue was released in September 2000.[3]
