Akin-Dower
Akin-Dower was company specializing in the manufacturing of mining equipment. Flourishing around 4000 BBY, the company was a subdivision of Corellia StarDrive, and headquartered in the Corellian system. Akin-Dower produced the Groundborer, which was designed to help new colonies quickly establish subterranean tunnels and chambers. When delivering mining equipment to the Frontier, the region later dubbed the Mid Rim, it hired independent contractors as escorts.[1]
