The Rebel Alliance assaulted XQ6 Platform Research using two Assault Transports from group Storm. Assault Transports Storm attempted to stop Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin from sending TIE Defender prototypes to be reviewed by Emperor Palpatine before actual production. Imperial TIE Avengers destroyed both Assault Transports, along with the remaining attack force, preventing the loss of any TIE Defender prototypes.
