Stop Dead
The Stop Dead was an emergency maneuver for stopping a starship traveling through hyperspace when the vessel's navigation computer had been destroyed. The maneuver was highly dangerous, as it had an eighty-three percent chance of resulting in the ship becoming a fine powder floating through space.
