Space platform
Space platforms were a common type of mass-produced space stations. Available in a variety of sizes and components, space platforms were found all over the galaxy and deployed in a number of roles. Space platforms were employed as defense stations, customs outposts, and roles as varied as repair, communications, training, scientific and commerce duties. Space platforms were analogous to the stock light freighter in terms of their adaptability and availability.[1]
