Smuggler cant was the term for jargon spoken by smugglers to keep Imperials and law enforcement groups from recognizing the nature of their activities.

Smuggler cant seems to be inspired by Cockney Rhyming Slang which was used to Confuse the London Police to cover what the group was going to do. Illegal or Otherwise.
