Smitroo Industries
Smitroo Industries, also known as the Smitroo Corporation, was a droid manufacturing company which closed during the reign of the New Republic after filing for bankruptcy.
History
A droid manufacturing company active during the New Republic's early years, Smitroo Industries was responsible for producing only five hundred Explorer Mk. V droids before filing for bankruptcy and closing down all of its factories. Despite the fact that the Board of Directors had disbanded, the surviving droids continued searching for their creators in an attempt to receive exploration mission instructions. During their search, many of these droids joined the Republic's Bureau of Scouting and Exploration Services.[1]
