Sensor-shielded storage compartments were illegally modified Droid Storage Modules. The modules were fitted with sensor-absorbent material which made it virtually impossible to scan the interior of the modules, effectively hiding their contents from scrutiny. Utilitech's Droid Storage Modules were commonly modified by some droid owners.[1]
