A Rebel places a sensor beacon on Hoth.

Sensor beacons were small security scanners and alarms that were typically deployed around large areas of land to alert the owners of intruders. Each beacon used motion sensors and recorders to detect intruders and were linked to a command center for data processing and control. Sensor beacons were more unobtrusive than fences or other barriers and were frequently employed by the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
