Sarka/Legends
Sarka was a Mid Rim planet and the homeworld of the Sarkan species.
Description
Sarka was inhabited by a variety of animals, plants, and insects, including Sarkans, the planet's only sentient species.[2]

The terrain of Sarka was dominated by humid jungles and marshland. Cave systems, usually located adjacent to underground hot springs, housed most of the planet's population and were rich with nova rubies, which were highly valued throughout the galaxy.[2] Five major languages were spoken on the planet, including Sarkese.
History
- "There's more to these attacks than simple harassment, Captain. Once this group has told their story, all future convoys from Sarka will demand upgraded protection. Enough such attacks, and the Rebellion will face the choice of either tying up large numbers of its ships with escort duty or effectively abandoning cargo shipment through these border sectors."
- ―Grand Admiral Thrawn to Captain Pellaeon
Sarkan ambassadors were among the most powerful political groups in the New Republic[2] and the planet was the site of a Republic supply center which was targeted by Grand Admiral Thrawn's campaign.[4]
Sarka was attacked and conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong between 26 and 27 ABY.[3]
Behind the scenes
The PC game Star Wars: Rebellion mistakenly places Sarka in the Dolomar sector of the Core Worlds.
