A safe was a reinforced secure storage container that was made of metal and equipped with a lock. They were used for protecting money and valuables from theft.
Lando Calrissian kept one in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon to secure his valuables.
In 0.5 ABY, Glovstoak had a concealed walk-in safe in his private quarters. In it he kept datacards containing administration records and expensive pieces of artwork.[1]
