Ross was an independent captain of the light freighter Sontor Skipper. Captain Ross was hired to transport harvested bestrum algae off the planet Baralou's Aqualis Base every twenty-three local days. During Ross' trips to Baralou, the captain traded blasters for gems with the indigenous species.
