Rick Veitch (born May 7, 1951) is a comic book writer and illustrator who lettered a few issues of the Marvel Star Wars comic series.

Veitch's career began in the early 1980s when he illustrated a number of fantasy titles for Marvel Comics' Epic line of comics. He then worked with writer Alan Moore on Swamp Thing for DC Comics, and Veitch took over as series writer when Moore left but he would soon quit because of DC's refusal to publish a controversial story which included Jesus Christ. After leaving DC he began working on alternative press comics like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and his own superhero parody called Bratpack. In 1990s he started an online comic convention website called comicon.com where various comic creators and fans can meet in an online format. His brother Tom Veitch was a comic writer who wrote the Star Wars: Dark Empire series as well as the first stories in the Tales of the Jedi series.
