Regina Cayli was a M-Class Imperial Attack Transport serving the Galactic Empire. The Regina Cayli was on active duty at New Bakstre and was tasked to secure the smuggler vessel Dorion Discus on the surface after Imperial Customs forced down the freighter.

Description

The Regina Cayli was an M-Class Imperial Attack Transport in service to the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. The vessel was split over two decks; the Transport Deck and the Command Deck. The Transport Deck, in the lower half of the ship, consisted of a cargo bay with boarding ramp. A security console linked the ship's system was located in the bay, and there was enough room to park two landspeeders.[1]

The upper deck, known as the Command Deck, was the location of the ship's infirmary, which contained a bacta tank and was staffed by a medical droid. Situated in Room B12, the infirmary required a security code to access it. Travel between the levels was achieved by using grav tubes. Escape pods were situated at the top of the ship, and its armament including torpedo ports.[1]

The Regina Cayli was employed as a troop transport by the Imperial Navy. Its complement included at least two squads of stormtroopers, supported by landspeeders.[1]

History

Roark Garnet rescued his co-pilot from the Regina Cayli

During the Galactic Civil War, the Regina Cayli was present at the planet New Bakstre when the freighter Dorion Discus was forced down by Imperial Customs. The Regina Cayli was dispatched to investigate the crash site, where they wounded and captured Hawk Carrow, the ship's co-pilot. Holding him prisoner in the infirmary, the medical droid treated his injured leg by encasing it in a healing sheath. The ship was subsequently infiltrated by Carrow's partner, the smuggler Roark Garnet, who rescued his friend.[1]

Commanders and crew

The Regina Cayli was commanded by a Commander, and the stormtrooper contingent included Squads Four and Five.[1]
