Red Smoke was a squad of ten veteran Alliance to Restore the Republic troopers that were part of the force dispatched to the planet Goratak III to recover an I2-CG droid that had ejected from a Tech 4 PDV. Each soldier carried a blaster rifle, and included two specialists; one carrying a repeating blaster, and the other armed with four grenades.
