Quenno

The Quenno—meaning "back-to-tradition"—were a group of Saurtons on the planet Essowyn who wanted the mining corporations that held sway over their planet to leave, and return power to the Saurton Council of Elders. They opposed the Des'mar, who believed that, for their homeworld to prosper, they needed the outside trade and culture that the companies brought with them.
